To become successful, you need to utilize the “80:20″ rule in your business.
By Rob Greenhalf | October 10, 2008
What is the 80:20 rule, you ask? As mentioned on page 6 of “Backend Secrets Revealed“:
The 80:20 rule states that eighty percent of your profits come from approximately twenty percent of your customers.
In other words, most of your profit is going to come from a small group of your customers who repeatedly purchase from you. In other words, those that respond to your backend marketing strategy of providing new offers to your past customers and purchase those new offers on a regular basis.
Now, not every member of your list is going to respond to your backend marketing strategy. Some of them will pass because they are quite happy with the product they did purchase from you, but want nothing more (at the present time, at least, this doesn’t mean you should stop marketing to them in the future.)
However, there will be a small subgroup of subscribers who will look to purchase virtually everything you offer because they trust you and have a strong desire to be as successful as you and other highly-successful Internet marketers, and thereby, will utilize the products they are purchasing.
This is the power of backend marketing and the secret that enables Internet marketers to generate large sums of income each year.

Utilizing back-end marketing in your business strategy.
By Rob Greenhalf | September 26, 2008
Utilizing back-end marketing in your business strategy will enable you to increase your profits and your reputation. After all, it is much easier to do business with people who have bought from you in the past and been satisfied by your past products/services than to try to convince new prospects that your products/services are worth the price you’re asking for.
Consider the time and costs it takes to find and gain new customers versus gaining sales from customers who have purchased from you in the past:
New Customers:
Have to advertise that your site can provide the information they need and be convincing enough that they will come to your site.
Have to get them to sign up for your newsletter by providing a free gift (ebook, report, software program, etc.)
Have to send them at least 7 (and may even take 12 or more according to recently published reports) messages convincing them that your products/services are worth purchasing.
Past Customers:
Send some messages to your list about new products/services you are offering.
That is the power of back-end marketing, your ability to gain new sales is greatly enhanced because you don’t have to advertise to people who don’t currently trust you, you don’t have to convince them to join your list with a free gift, and you don’t have to send them 7-12 messages to convince them that your product/service is worth purchasing.
Because you’ve already gone through that process with past list members, ones who have been satisfied by the products/services you’ve offered to them, just sending some messages, along with your solid reputation for providing quality products/services in the past, will convince them much more quickly that your new product/service is worth purchasing.

Think back to when you got the first subscribers to your mailing list.
By Rob Greenhalf | September 19, 2008
For those who have been conducting online business for at least a few months, think back to when you got the first subscribers to your mailing list. Realize what you had to do to acquire them:
You had to let people know that your site was operational and that you were offering something for free.
You had to convince them that your list was worth signing up for, which is why you gave a free gift such as an ebook, report, or software program.
You had to set up your autoresponder to send out a series of messages to convince them to consider your products/services after they signed up.
In other words, it took some time and hard work in order to be able to set it up so that you could get your first subscribers. But, it was worth it, wasn’t it? You received your first sales from them, and they have stayed with you over the last few months or even last few years.
Yet, you sort of dread having to continuously find more new customers to sell your products/services to. While looking for new customers should be a part of your business strategy, it should NOT prevent you from utilizing back-end marketing in your business either.
It’s certainly easier to convince those you have done business with before to buy from you again. Amazingly though, many businesses seem to neglect and forget those who have signed up to their lists, not offering their new products/services to them. Yet, why build a list if you’re not going to utilize the benefits of that list?

To operate a successful online business…
By Rob Greenhalf | August 29, 2008
To operate a successful online business, you need to be able to manage the elements of that business. There are many elements to take care of:
Keeping track of all of the products you offer and their download pages.
Keeping track of past customers who have ordered from you and make up your opt-in list.
Keeping track of the affiliates who are promoting your products and getting paid commissions for each sale they provide you with.
Keeping track of your marketing campaigns for each of your products.
Keeping your customers, affiliates, and JV partners informed about your latest products and other important news.
Keeping your membership sites running smoothly without any hassles.
Etc.
That’s quite a handful, isn’t it? Especially if you are a one-person operation. Even if you have hired a few employees, that’s still quite a lot to handle for a few people. How are you going to handle all of that? And obviously, you need to handle all these elements if you are going to have a successful online business. What are you going to do?

One way that will make you a TON of money.
By Rob Greenhalf | August 15, 2008
Your business will only be as successful as the ability for you to make sales. Your ability to make sales will determine whether your business thrives or dies.
Therefore, you need to be able to gain new sales on a regular basis in order for your business to thrive as you expect it to. In other words, you need a “sales funnel” in order to be able to provide consistent sales to your business.
Essentially, as mentioned on Pages 1-6 of Back-end Secrets Revealed, there are three main ways or sales funnels to make money:
One way that will lose you money.
One way that will make you money.
One way that will make you a TON of money.
Obviously, you’ll likely want Option #3 to be your sales funnel in your business. However, many businesses actually employ Option #1, even though it’s likely they do not want to destroy their businesses. Yet, that is likely what they are unknowingly doing by using this sales funnel strategy.
What’s even more alarming is that Option #3 is actually as easy or even easier to implement than Option #1 in most businesses, yet many businesses either don’t realize or don’t think they can implement that type of sales funnel into their businesses.
Don’t fear the unknown and risk struggling like those businesses are; get Back-end Secrets Revealed and learn more about each of the three sales funnels above and how you can implement Option #3 into your business (and thereby, make much more money than you are likely making now!)

How trustworthy are you?
By Rob Greenhalf | August 8, 2008
To really succeed at online business (and even offline business, for that matter,) you must be able to utilize all your resources in order to be able to make sales. This includes not just gaining new sales from new customers, but also new sales from customers who have ordered products/services from you before and have been satisfied with their purchases.
Surprisingly, many businesses don’t utilize this hidden resource they already have, their opt-in lists that contain the names and personal information of satisfied customers they have already dealt with. This is a mistake because it is much harder to acquire new customers because they are unsure about the following elements regarding your business:
How trustworthy you are
How good your products/services are
Whether your prices really provide a bargain for them or provide the value they are expecting to receive
Etc.
This is why it often takes seven or more times of contacting a new prospect before they are willing to make a purchase. While acquiring new prospects is always important and a goal that you should continue to work toward, you should also utilize the satisfied customers you have already established a rapport and relationship with. It’s very likely they’ll be willing to purchase much quickly than a brand new prospect would.

To have success with back-end marketing strategies in your business, you need to make sure these elements are followed in your strategies:
By Rob Greenhalf | August 1, 2008
You need to build a rapport with your customers by presenting quality lower-priced offers to them, as well as presenting them with quality free information and gifts from time to time. Only by building trust that you are looking out for their best interests and are genuinely trying to help them will they even consider purchasing your higher-priced offers in the future.
Notice the word “quality”, you cannot present them with just any offer; if that product you recommend is not high-quality and useful to them, they’ll likely tune you out when you present any future higher-priced product offers, and thereby, essentially eliminate your chances of profiting from back-end marketing, which is the real key to making substantial online profits.
Once you lose your customers? attention by presenting them with substandard product offers, it’s very difficult to convince them to trust you again and consider your future higher-priced offers, so make sure to not present substandard product offers. You can do this by testing the products yourself if you don’t create them, and preferably, you should create the products you recommend yourself, especially in the beginning, as not only will you know for sure the products are high-quality, you’ll also gain more profit from those sales as well.

The key to making substantial profits from back-end marketing.
By Rob Greenhalf | July 14, 2008
Many businesses don’t employ back-end marketing into their business strategies, even though you can employ back-end marketing towards virtually any kind of product, everything from ebooks and reports to video and audio products to physical books and online membership sites.
This is possible because the idea of giving more or enhanced value to customers who have bought from you in the past is the real key behind back-end marketing, not so much what kind of product is being offered. Virtually any kind of product you can offer can be included in your back-end marketing efforts.
Of course, you must be able to determine what your past customers would want in future product offers in order for them to purchase your new offer. A subject related to the first product offer is often a good bet.
The key to making substantial profits from back-end marketing is to continue to promote quality products that sell for a higher price. For instance, you may start off with an ebook that costs $39, then sell them a related software product for $79, then sell them a physical product (such as a package including a book and DVDs) on a similar subject (like Internet marketing, dog care, etc.) for $147, etc.
The key behind this strategy is to present offers that are higher in price after you have shown them you offer quality lower-priced products, this way, they’ll be more willing to purchase your future higher-priced offers.

Why Back-End Marketing is essential.
By Rob Greenhalf | July 13, 2008
One of the challenges of online business is being able to bring in new customers repeatedly. It takes a good amount of time, money, and resources to be able to bring in new customers over and over again. Eventually, you’re going to run out of new customers to try to promote your products and services to.
Therefore, you’d better have another plan in place if your online business is going to survive and reach its full potential. One strategy you should consider employing is “back-end marketing.”
Back-end marketing involves utilizing the customers who have already bought from you and getting them to buy more from you. This should be relatively easy to achieve because, the customers who have already bought from you (and presumably, are on your opt-in list) already trust you (provided they liked the product/service they bought from you the first time) and are more likely to purchase from you again.
This is a much more efficient means to utilize your resources than to try to convince a prospect who you’ve never sold anything to before and convince him/her that your products/services are worth buying. Satisfied customers who have purchased from you in the past will need far less convincing to do business with you again.
This is why it is imperative you employ back-end marketing in your marketing efforts today. For more information on how to incorporate back-end marketing into your business structure, check out the “Back-end Secrets Revealed” ebook.
